Her approach
Dr. DiCarlo offers enhanced confidentiality as an independent physician.
Dr. DiCarlo seeks to care for each patient as an individual with unique developmental, medical, psychological, spiritual, and social factors. If psychiatric illness is present, accurate diagnosis is key to effective treatment. In most cases, Dr. DiCarlo leans strongly into the importance of psychotherapy— with an emphasis on psychodynamic and family therapies. When medications are prescribed, it is typically done with thoughtful integration of therapy.
Dr. DiCarlo helps people talk about stress, relationship struggles and patterns, childhood pain that continues to affect them, loneliness, shame, life transitions, losses, and hopes. She will walk beside you as together you explore meaning, identity, and vocation. She will listen and help you treat yourself more kindly. Dr. DiCarlo is here to support your growth in understanding and loving yourself and others.
